The article states that it grows on driftwood so it is buoyant and mentions it is not that rare (not explicitly but it talks about it happening before)
Why use mac at all? If you want a docked machine you can build a PC with the exact specs you want. Throw a Linux distro on it and you will have a similar experience
Because it's NOT the same experience. iCloud access, shared messages, Cut and paste between other Mac devices..I say this with a Ryzen 9 + rtx4090 super right next to the macs. (A studio and an M1 MBP with a new battery).
While they're theoretically at parity, in actual use, they're not.
Plant intelligence is so amazing. There is no evidence for it but I like to imagine trees are a huge mass of neural tissue that is existing and possibly thinking.
They are even cooler than that. Trees in a forest are connected through mycellium networks, which are said to have more connections underground than neurons in your brain. They showed if one tree was environmentally stresses it would signal to nearby trees through this network and other trees respond by closing up shop until the threat has resolved.
GitHub uptime is cyclical. It's bad because they won't focus on the core, and then the right users complain and GitHub focuses on core again before it repeats. This is just the latest round exacerbated by vibe coding
Another commenter replied, but was downvoted by angry employees of Microsoft for a fairly anodyne statement.
Microsoft management knows this. It's not like there haven't been attempts to solve these core problems. The issue is GitHub was built by exceptional engineers, and none of those people are still around.
I maintain all these problems began when they migrated off Erlang and egitd. :)
Practically I would need to wait for hugging face models to adopt this? My harness tokenizer is just an estimate since the model tokenizes on my api calls?
