Umm Yes, yes you should. Immorality in one area has a tendency to bleed into other areas.

It's not even about immorality. The problem is not so much the sex, it's the cult part. If a good deal of the people working in AI safety in the biggest AI lands are actually a cult, that has deep implications about what AIs are aligned to, and how (ironically) irrational they might really be trained to be, by the very people trying to control them.

Imagine if you found out that most people working in AI safety were high level members of Scientology - wouldn't that give you some pause about where this field is going?

The solution is deregulation and land-value taxes. Tax land so that it reaches its maximum utilization. Deregulate so that buildings can actually be built.

There is also a large amount of Obama - Bernie - Trump voters, people need to get rid of simple Left vs Right thinking, there are multiple dimensions to politics.

The reason it is still red v blue, despite the more nuanced politics, is that in the end, those smaller groups majority, reliably vote for one party.

In the European political tradition, nationalists and communists differ only in their excuses for murder, everything else is the same. A fact known also as the Horseshoe theory of far-right and far-left merging in shared love for dictatorship.

Instead of focusing solely on the complexity of the thing you change. Include the context around what you are changing also.

This allows the Change Impact formula to differentiate between two different files of the same length. One is a complex god class with high CC. The other is an entity module that is simple but just has a lot of methods due to properties. Adding to the god class really should warrant a refactor. Adding to the entity class is just another field to store for the entity. The Change Impact formula can differentiate and point to the god classes.

Adding a stop at McDonalds on Google Maps won't necessarily work unless Google provides the hooks to accomplish that.

But yes, it can give you information on a topic in a way the old Siri couldn't.

I don't think this is surprising given that the US has also lost so much manufacturing due to cost cutting. A service economy is going to need a lot of software engineering. A nice big factory takes a lot of mechanical and electrical engineers.

I think you're less free than you think you are. Do you have the freedom to lose your job? Because millions don't due to e.g. losing access to health care (to name a popular / populist talking point). Do you have the freedom to vote for a representative that aligns with your points, or are you forced to vote for the lesser evil or abstain?

I don't believe all political parties have a right to exist, because some parties are anti-democratic, yet abuse democratic systems to gain power. The current president of the US and the organization that planned the current administration's steps are anti-democratic and want to, for example run for a third term.

If a society puts more value on personal freedoms than it does on group well-being that becomes an anarchy. They didn't work out well historically speaking, proof is no such society made it to today.

In most web frameworks its not terribly hard to extern content (you probably do this already for translations) and just have a nice little yaml or json thats easily edited.

They don't say anything in the post. But hotwire native supports pushing ui elements to ios and android. I imagine that might be part of the reason. I haven't built anything substantial with hotwire native though so I am not sure on all of the edge cases.
