Poor people are already being priced out of cheap phones due to rise in RAM-related unit costs. https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/smartphone-sales-to-plummet...

It makes me sad for the Neo 2.0. More ram is the only thing stopping me switching to it from a Pro.

The Macbook Neo 2 (or likely just Macbook Neo A19) is likely to have 12GB of RAM, given the 12GB iPhone Pro Max.

> This war was unavoidable btw, it was going to happen sometime this year or next.

Iran was, as per the latest reports I've read, complying with terms and not enriching uranium to weapons-grade or close to weapons-grade. Are there credible reports suggesting otherwise?

Those reports are old. IAEA inspectors have not been able to access any of Iran's nuclear facilities since the start of the 12 day war on June 13, 2025. Currently, nobody knows what Iran is doing with their nuclear material.

If only there was an agreement in place to help with that. Oh wait, that got canned by someone when started this nonsense.

"What's the point of having fuck you money if you never say fuck you."

They are all horrible. If there is ever a reckoning, I hope this entire class of spineless shits get destroyed.

What if the whole world population would have F-Y money enough for subsistence and would not have to perform the act of asskissing or complying? Not luxury but basic needs met alright, something like the basic income the democrats blocked during Nixon era(twice actually).

How fast we'd fix this shit?

"evolution (fit to environment) than engineering (fit to purpose)."

Oh, I absolutely love this lens.

It can be both, I think? Politicians/powerful people take advantage of divisions in society, but often those divisions do exist in a fully-fledged or nascent form for them to exploit.

Killing USAID.

I do it more or less this way - except I keep the root intact until the end. It keeps the onion structurally intact until I'm done with the dicing. At which point, the root takes a single chop to lop off, and then the whole thing scatters into tiny, mostly uniform dices. It's quite satisfying.

I also keep the root. But I am on the radial team!

Google exposes their reasoning. You can use their new gemini python sdk to get thought traces.

Google does not expose their reasoning any more. They give "thought summaries" which provide effectively zero value. [1][2]

> not that a single user uses a lot of energy for a simple chat.

This seems like a classic tragedy of the commons, no? An individual has a minor impact, but the rationale switching to LLM tools by the collective will likely have a massive impact.

That's ok. AI will kill those off soon enough, and like all winners, rewrite history enough so that that inconvenient theft never happened anyway. It's manifest destiny, or something.
