love the comparison to apple & the notion that a design-forward brand (in this case, software enabling easy purchase of important consumer goods) can help tackle a traditionally archaic and bureaucratic space. super excited to see how things progress.

This is quite a neat comparison. Certainly some geographic bias. Speaking of which - does your pricing software take into account such a bias? i.e. can you parse out what people from different geographic regions are willing to pay and, perhaps even more important, why?

Depends on a number of factors. I would wait a full week in business days - but do follow up past that. And stay on their radar until they respond.

It's happened to me in numerous cases - and can often be used as a litmus test (albeit a small one) on your determination/interest in the position.

A quick message like "Hey X - just wanted to keep this on your radar. I'm available ABC time to chat. Looking forward to discussing the role further" should suffice.

It's surprising how so few actually end up following up.

Thanks, I'll take your advice. Kinda frustrating.

Thanks! There's something much more visceral/real about a pen/paper than something like Evernote.

As for including things outside your norm - totally agree that it takes some serious effort. But in a world where we look at our phones more than our surroundings (sometimes), it's that kind of effort that makes things much more enjoyable and helps you focus too.
