As the post suggests - the GitHub community discussions are still the place to talk about these items. This is just closing the sometimes literally years old public roadmap posts.

What’s preferable, clarity on what’s actively planned, or ambiguity with dozens of features languishing on the public roadmap without any updates?

I don't think anyone believed the GitHub acquisition was just an aquihire.


The article is discussing mostly how RSU-based compensation isn’t quite as valuable as it once was, considering the 2 year decline in tech stocks and delayed IPOs.

While I don’t disagree that your longer term hunch may be right, declining stock prices aren’t really an assault on tech wages.


Nonetheless you can't discuss the reduction in tech worker compensation without discussing the synchronized layoffs.
