When I checked the Amazon US links, they're priced at 2.99 and 4.99, respectively. Are the .99 and 2.99 prices available to some countries only?

The prices are $3.44 and $5.74 for me (when logged into Amazon US). That's a nice +250% price hike for us Europeans!

Came here to say this and I accidentally bought the basics version instead of the more extensive one.

Oh well, I really liked the YouTube videos so the author more than deserves it. It's just that those obvious price hikes get under my skin especially for e-books. Or is it that Amazon includes any taxes they have to pay to the EU in the price?

Amazon is paying VAT in the EU, but the last time I checked, the tax wasn't quite in the hundreds of percents. This is just Amazon taking extra profit because they can, and the author is only getting paid based on the $0.99 and $2.99 price points.

2.99 euros on amazon.fr for the extended one, looks reasonable ( $2.99 + VAT ).

I was not logged in to Amazon when I first checked the links. The prices when not logged in were 2.99 and 4.99. When I logged in, the prices became .99 and 2.99.

It took me a while to login. I tried to register but it says my email was already taken. Could it be you still kept the accounts from Twidlit? Anyway, I was able to recall my password and was able to login.

For feedback, I suggest you make it easy for users to give you feedback. The Contact Us link in the footer isn't noticeable. I will give more feedback as I use the app.

Congratulations on the release and good luck! More power to Philippine Startups! =)

great points. will work to surface the contact link more.

Thank you for all your replies. I'm learning a lot from them. I think I'd move towards hiring a promising junior dev to help me with my tasks. But I'm not yet sure if I'll have the dev work fully on the consulting side or the startup side. It might depend on the type of consulting work needed.

I guess my problem is also really because I'm a one-man startup. So finding a co-founder or startup team to help me on the startup side could solve my problem. Or it might be another problem too...

I do Java consulting (anything Java-related). When I was still an employee, I was freelancing on the side. When I resigned, I continued freelancing. An old client (from my freelancing days) hired me as a full-time consultant during that time and I've been working with them on different projects ever since. The client is aware of and fully supports my startup activities.

Great issue!

Side note: I just discovered the "Reflow" view in Adobe Reader. It converts the PDF to a single column for easy viewing at a large magnification. The layout gets messed up sometimes but it's alright for me. My problem before was I had to scroll up and down a couple of times on a page to read all the contents (3 columns) in fix width view.

I'm getting a 404 Not Found on the zip file link.

Thanks for this! I already sent my pitch.

Thank you for all your replies. Many suggested Outright, Less Accounting, and Quickbooks. I tried all of them. They're not simple enough for me. I like Outright but what's missing (and the most important feature for me) is the ability to generate the three most important financial statements: Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement. Outright can generate an Income Statement, but it's more tailored to US requirements. It would be great if the financial statements can be in Excel format so modifications, like typing in a header, will be easy. The three financial statements are very important for me because I need to submit them annually to the government. Also, it gives a picture of my business.

I think I'll go for it! =) MVP will be doing simple bookkeeping and generating the three financial statements. These are the basics of accounting. I guess even if nobody buys it or subscribes to it. I will still end up with something I really need. Thanks again.

Thanks for this! Now my only problem is being able to sell my apps. I'm from a country where we can't create Google Checkout merchant accounts so I can't sell apps in the Android Market. I hope this changes soon.
