I've only personally utilized it for code _review_ and always ignored the suggested result code instead to understand the source of the issue and try to arrive at a resolution I find satisfactory for my mental model of the issue and solutions I'd prefer.

My take is that the main difference is the approach to problems the coding agents have. They optimize towards presuming a fully working invocation environment, yet checking everything anyway, and then rolling back any changes and re-testing that such changes worked. Which is great for normal types of software but incredibly tedious for anything aimed at less than a fully hands free automated environment.

In other words, AI is very awesome at scope creep of assigned problems and targeting the validation prompts baked into the review system.

The pay might not be as good but they could also go to Europe. Might depend where they've got family / contacts.

Part of the reason a Chinese invasion of Taiwan seems more realistic is Trump being a sycophant towards any dictator who will give him the time of day, including Xi Jinping.

It's not impossible, but I feel as though if Trump decides that China is friends and Taiwan is enemies (as he seems to have done with North/South Korea lately) then Taiwanese refugees might not be as eager to move to the US as, say, Canada, Australia, or Europe.

Really shows how approachable it would have been to have just a tiny bit more added to the API of 'PC BIOS' to make for an extremely portable driver platform system to allow OS independent arbitrary hardware drivers as Forth that the system BIOS could compile at boot and run beneath the OS. Though of course the PC BIOS API from when that mattered isn't in anything like a modern protect mode operating profile.

PC BIOS was mostly just for DOS and bringup, it also helped in moving stuff across the barrier during 32 bit boot but afterwards the only thing you would normally use it for is to call hardware specific ROMs for instance for mode changes and such. The rest of the time you'd avoid it like the plague (also because of the expensive switch back to 'real' mode).
