The abandonment of their own guidelines is sad. Great post below visually outlines how they've totally funked macos drop downs.
Too many icons you can't focus, inconsistent color, icons are unclear, repeated, or have 10 versions of an icon to 'add new folder' or other actions across their own apps.
at least iOS has great features. Surfacing them though.. I regularly learn new ones from tiktok. For instance i just learned about the motion sickness dots.
